Sheltering in place at home can have an impact on your voice. If you live alone, you may not be talking much. If you are a choir member you haven't been able to sing with your group. Be sure you are using your voice. Those muscles can get stuck or lazy. Sing along with the radio or your music streaming device. Talk back to your television. Hum. Sing through a straw. Keep your voice tuned up.
No one doubts the many benefits of music instruction. I can structure an individualized program to fit you or your child's goals and desires. Music theory is a component of all lessons. There are two recitals each year, one informal and one formal. Participation is encouraged but not mandatory. There will be a formal recital in August 2020.
This workshop includes basic vocal anatomy, sound production and strategies for keeping your voice healthy
Tips and techniques to land the role you want. Participants will have the opportunity to perform and receive feedback about song selection, dress and audition etiquette.
Give your students the opportunity to sing in front of their peers. Helpful feedback will be given. An accompanist can be provided. This would be a great way to prepare for Solo and Ensemble festivals at the district or state level.
Does your voice give you away? Would you like your voice to match your true identity? I can help.
Contact me for tips or perhaps an informal workshop for you and your friends.
